Our goal is to provide our patients with the
highest level of pre-hospital care available in the industry. We achieve
this through our Quality Improvement program. Emergency Medical Services
key indicators are just one component of this program. Examples of
indicators we use include, but are not limited to the following:
-
The number
of monthly responses performed by our organization (the responses
are further broken down to the facility wherein the transport
originates)
-
Response
times
As part of our Quality Improvement Program,
we include our Physician Medical Director. His responsibilities include
medical oversight, assisting with quality improvement issues, review of
clinical care, and educational development.
Additionally, as part of our Quality
Improvement Program, we have an extensive preventative maintenance
program for all vehicles, medical equipment, batteries, stretchers, and
computer devices. All of the aforementioned are placed on a schedule
and have preventative maintenance work performed per manufacturer's
guidelines. To ensure this is properly carried out, we employ a
full-time vehicle mechanic and contract with various vendors to assist
with other noted equipment.
